People often ask me why I became a vet. As far as I remember it started with Sir David Attenborough wildlife documentaries when I was a kid.

I was fascinated with animals! Later on I realised that I am thrilled to understand how a body ticks, to find out what is wrong with it and finally to know how to treat it. Veterinary for me was an easy choice and to this day I still love it!

I graduated from Vasco da Gama University in Portugal then I set myself off to Africa to Gorongosa National Park in Moçambique.

Although I was elated with wild animals I still felt the need to have a closer contact with animals, so I spent the next years working with small animals in Cabo Verde, England and Portugal before I came to Macau.

At Taipavet I found the perfect balance of veterinary work, an amazing team, friends and heart loving clients.
