From an early age on I loved animals, especially dogs. In 2010 we moved to Macau with our first dog, Yoyo, and soon after we rescued Coco, our second dog.

We never intended to have a third one. One of our Neighbours had a German Shepherd, Pippo, which we took care of for years.

He lived in a gated, open area next to his owner’s house. The owners had no interest in this animal at all, in fact they were very scared of him.

One day Pippo was severely sick and quickly needed help. We tried to find a vet that was willing to come to Coloane asap for a house call and the only vet that immediately rushed to our help was Alex.

Shortly after we also adopted Pippo and it was because of him, that Alex and I started having the idea to open a veterinary clinic together.

We started TaipaVet with a mission and to this day we work hard to fulfill this mission.

• Every lost animal is one animal too much.
• The wellbeing of the animal is our priority.

Someone asked me about my proudest moment since we opened TaipaVet. Without any hesitation I knew it was a conversation between a client and myself.

Every time the client drove by our clinic her dog would get extremely excited, barking and wanted to get out of the car.

She had her dog for years, knowing he hates to go to the vet and couldn’t believe her dog suddenly loves to see the vet.

In that moment I knew our mission became reality.
